Christ said, “…I will build my church…” (Matthew 16:18) It is upon this statement that we are relying as we begin our ministry here in Jefferson County. We will do what we can to spread the good news of Jesus Christ, but realize that God is the Lord of the harvest, and the results lie with Him.

 Rock Lake Baptist Church has been a part of Lake Mills since 1970 and many people from the community have attended at some time in the past.It is really neat that we have a couple of the founding members from 1970 still attending! As the new pastor, I am praying that we will have renewed opportunities with some of these people that for whatever reason have stepped away from the church. Also, we are excited to see visitors almost every Sunday and are praying that God will allow us continued ministry with each of them. We never know what their story is, but God knows every detail. As we preach and teach the Word of God, Christians will grow and more people will come to trust Jesus as their Savior. We know that God will indeed build His church!

This past week has been busy with a church work day, a statewide teen conference at Calvary Baptist Church in Watertown, WI, and today we had a lunch with folks from the church at the Family Restaurant in Lake Mills. It is exciting to see God’s people working, praying, and enjoying fellowship together. This is what church family looks like! Praise God!
